Our message is evangelistic
We believe that Jesus' first command and last command to his church is to be "fishers" of men and to go make disciples of all nations. This is done by communicating the message of the Cross in the power of the Spirit to those who will believe that they may be saved. We seek to be a Gospel-driven Church which means in part that we evaluate all we do in the light of how it furthers the great commission.
Matthew 4:19
Then He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."
Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
I Corinthinas 1:17-18
For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect. For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
1 Cor 9:16
For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!
